I had Delta mags on my CX that model and had 195 X 75 X 14 tyres on it and used to take the name off the sidewalls going around corners. I also couldn't use spats on it and the spare had to be a different size to go under the bonnet.
Last CX I owned (sold earlier this year) was a c-matic which is the top 3 speeds of a 4 speed box connected to a torque converter and brother, would they ever be a treat to drive on your motorways. We have a top speed limit of 110 KPH (about 65 MPH) at which point these things are just getting ready to boogie. Unfortunately, this car would be a weeks drive away from me; it's allmost closer to you than me and freight costs to get it here would be scarey, but I think someone from the eastern states will do the trip, maybe fly over and drive back, but from all accounts, it's an absolute bottler.
FYI, Aus $ to UK pounds is:-
5,000.00 AUD Australia Dollars = 1,994.98 GBP United Kingdom Pounds
1 AUD = 0.398995 GBP 1 GBP = 2.50630 AUD
