How many seconds (after ignition) are there recommended to leave the engine idle, before moving on? (HDi 1st generation)

I would have thought about 5-10 seconds, just to let the oil circulate around to the turbo. My Dad has a HDI & he lets it idle for about 10 secs before driving & switching off.I let my XUD run for about 5-10 secs, when turning on & before i switch off.

As soon as all the warning lights have gone out. It's not generally recommended to let a modern engine idle directly after start - they get up to operating temperature much quicker if you drive them.
