Citroen Xantia Hydraulic pump leak

Hi, i've recently bought a Xantia 1.9td that has 62000 miles on.I just found out the hydraulic pump is leaking on in and I was wondering if there was any way of servicing the pump or is the only option to buy a new one?
Ive also heard that there is more than one pump to fit the Xantia. Its a 1994 model - does one fit all or are there different variations?
p.s is it hard to change a pump? I dont even know where it is, i got my mechanic to check it out!

Pump changes are not toooooooo frightening but first make sure the connections and seals are good. They run at very high pressures and a slight leak is quite possible from a failed seal or a loose connection.
