1985 205 1.1 - brake caliper compatability ?

Hi All,
I have a 1985 1.1 205 that has a sticking front passenger caliper, it was -very- difficult to move to fit new pads and appears to be the source of a rattle too - it's 'floating' a few mil too.
now, i've been to my local scrappy and old 205s are a bit thin on the ground but there are a few newer models and makes kicking about.
are calipers common amongst the range ?
off the top of my head i'm pretty sure mine are marked girling, but i'll check

You could always buy an overhall kit for the old one. It maybe that the rubbers are shot. I think my genuine ATE type ones from Peugeot for the 504 were £12 a set. Some helpfull fellow has put a link under the Peugeot section with a parts catalogue, take a look.
