405 gear knob

At risk of sounding a plum, I can't get me knob off !!!
It won't unscrew like most,
And i'm after changing it for somthing a little different,
one of these in fact- [8]
How does it come off [?]

If it's any help, the knob comes off with a upward good tug on the Berlingo [:o)]. I'm having great difficulty typing this and keeping a straight face........[:o)]

Getting your knob off can be difficult on a 405. Hahahahahahaaaa!
It's a push fit on the gearstick, but the stick has ribbings on it (this is going from bad to worse!!) and is "squared off".
The only way to get the knob off is to pull REALLY hard up on it, while rotating about 30 degrees alternating left and right. Refitting is almost as hard... In the past I have resorted to gentle tapping with a hammer with a block of soft wood and a cloth on top of the knob.
