shock absorbers

hi,
i'm finally changing the shocks on my 605 (regular shock) after many years. can anyone tell me what are the other parts that MIGHT need to be changed at the same time? i was told of the following - mounting, bearing, buffer and dust cover.

Changing the top rubber mounting assy would be a good idea

I would recommend changing the top mounting assembly that includes the bearing when changing the front shocks, and if gas types are available then use those instead of oil for both sides.
