Should be a BE3.

Thanks, another question, what size clutch is in a 306 1.9td pre 97.

Don't know actual size but it is not the same as the 309 you mentioned earlier. Try GSF. 306 clutch is dearer than 309.

I asked about the 309 box as I need a speedo housing for a be3, so thats one prob solved. Then next is finding out the size of a td clutch so I can find a clutch the same size and fitment but with push operation rather than pull for a project

Hi! Up to 01/01/1992 on 309 (XUD engines) clutch mechanism size was 200 (DIAM). This clutch is suitable for 205, 309, 405, 406, 306, Partner with BE3 gearboxes.
