Q. What Noise do Xantias make?

A. Cheap, cheap....[:o)]
OK, it's a poor joke, but I've just bought a replacement Xantia - 97R TD VSX hatch. Very smart (apparently - I haven't seen it yet, but my Dad has looked it over / driven it) only 53k with dealer history (We all know what THAT means!!). All mine for £1220[:D] from E-bay [:p] OK, it's only got 4 days MOT, but how wrong can it go.... Watch this space for more tales of woe!
On the other hand that means I now have to put a new clutch in the 1.4 306 I have been running so I can sell it on (needed a car desperately - it's just a bit heavy). I've also noticed its losing oil into the water (why do I always seem to end up with cars with head gasket problems [:(]) - so might have to whip the head off too - looks a lot easier than a TD head off job!

Sounds like a nice one to me. Get the MOT and put it back in for sale and make some money!
I have to say I loved my Xantia so much I kept it for the other half. Now she is getting to love it too. Good luck, R.
