I've noticed on very very cold days the bulb behind my fuel gauge doesn't come on in the morning, until I've been driving for a few miles then it decides to get out of bed & join its buddies.
Maybe its the bulb or the bulbholder that shrinks slightly when very cold, can't imagine the thermal movement is more than a few thou though.
It's been like that for a couple of years now, only happens on about 2-3 days each winter so I've no intention of fixing it anytime soon.
Xantia gets unofficial ambient temp sensor.
