lowering a pug 405

Post by ollie405 »

Hi, I want to lower my peugeot 405 estate !
Fitting lower springs on the front is not a problem, but how do I lower the rear suspension ???
Anyone know ?
Thanks
Ollie

Hi
The rear on a 405 is a torsion bar set up.
To lower it, all you do is pop the rear arm of the spline & move it around a notch or 2.
Yeah right, Its a real sod of a job to do because everything will be siezed & wont undo.
Check out the link below for an idea of what funs involved in doing this

rather than lowering the rear, just fill it up with "stuff", about 150kg's worth, and be amazed at the new low ride height you have achieved. :)
