Where's the Xantia HDi oil level switch?

Post by pete_wood_uk »

Does anyone know off-hand where the Xantia HDi oil level switch is? My warning light has started to develop a mind of its own in the cold weather, sometimes flashing at startup and sometimes not (despite there being plenty of oil) so I presume that either the switch is dicky or there's a loose wire.
All hints gratefull received. I tried a search on here before posting but couldn't find anything relevant...
Many thanks
Pete

Any help, anyone, on the location of the oil level sensor?
Many thanks

yes,it is at the back of the engine just above the sump.the connector plug for the sensor (3 pin yellow connector) is around the thermostat housing area.
