You all know that the TRD from Europe becomes a DTR over here.
They never learn though.
Associations with the new range are pretty unfortunate as well
C6= mal de mer
C5= plastic motorised potty
C3= C3PO an annoying and obstinate robot, prone to malfunction
C2= missing a couple of nuts down below
but the C4 takes the biscuit. Its plastic and it blows up!

When the Vauxhall Nova was launched it was only called the Nova in the UK. In every other European country it was the (Opel) Corsa. The marketing department of Vauxhall had told GM that a car called the Corsa would never sell in Britain!
Apparently the Xantia was originally going to be called the Xanthia.
Weren't some of the ZX model names different in Europe too? I think the Aura was called the Aurora, and the Reflex was called the Fugue?

I heard one from ford once that the new baby car was to be called the "Caprino" until an eagle eyed linguist told em that it meant goatsh*t in italy, fiesta it is then.

I think Nova sounds like "doesn't go" in some languages, some might even say it means that in English.
BMW gave us the TDS and I think somebody else did too. Yamaha gave us the TDM.
