Xantia 1.8i 16v Power Steering Pipe...

Post by Tuftus »

Hi,
Does anyone know if GSF sell the pipe that comes off the power steering pump that goes down the front of the engine, across to a large rubber pipe, then back to brake pipe kinda size metal pipe that goes up the crossmember (up the lhs of the engine bay) over the gearbox and around the back to the power steering rack? (Its the high pressure one)
If so can anyone give me a part number as mine has ruptured and rinsed all my lhm over the drive... :(

I dont think GSF sell individual pipes, would require quite a (slow selling) stock !
Try your local Citroen dealer or try this company : http://www.pleiades.uk.com/
BTW : it's the HP (6+2 pump) to rack feed pipe, inform your exact model details to get the correct pipe, as they vary according to engine types.

Alternative is to repair the break with a compression fitting. Get in touch with the company Hoke (based in USA) about their Gyrolock fittings. Brilliant, compact, lightweight, stainless steel ; rated to 5000 psi.
