ZX drum brakes
My handbrake cable has snapped on my Citroen ZX (1997). As tthey are drum brakes how are the drum brake covers held to the backplate, is it a centre nut or a screww on the cover. Thanks in advance Dave

It is a big nut on the centre shaft locked in place by knocking soft end in keyway on shaft.

And you'll need plenty of leverage to undo it. It's torqued to around 160lbs.
