Is my Saxo about to pop its clogs??

Post by whizz_2001 »

Hi,
My Saxo VTS 1.6 16v 56k miles P Plate is having engine troubles[B)]. It wont seem to idle for long without stalling, it makes a chugg chugg noise when running & its lost LOTS of power when driving (not that it had that much anyway lol). [xx(]
The gauges do not show its over heating [:)] & there isnt any gunk in the radiator.[:)]
Any ideas?
THANKS [:)]

Check for an air leak.....loose pipe into the air filter etc etc sometimes that can paralyse a car

Theres a fault on this engine with the Coil Pack, leading to the problems that you describe, maybe get it tested.

Stupid damn Citroen and their fragile engines that will do (more than) 153,000 miles without any overhaul work. I'll let you know how many miles it will actually do if / when something breaks.

I've got two stupid damn Citroëns - the oldest one is ONLY 11 years old! and it's ONLY managed 530 000 km! and its STILL not broke! The other one is only 6 years old! and that one's ONLY done 300 000 km! and its not broke yet either!!
What a stupid car manufacturer - I wonder why people buy their cars at all??

A 954cc AX would be quicker than my VTS.. they are not that fast in the first palce & with a blown head gasket i can walk quicker.
