BX bonnet Catch

Tried to open the bonnet at lunchtime and couldn't find the nylon triangle on a stalk to release the bonnet. It might be bent backwards but I don't think so. Does anyone know the best way of getting at the catch? I NEED to get at it before I go home.

So the cable operated catch released from inside the car is working and its only the safety catch we are talking about?
If you can find a reasonably stiff wire I would have thought you could have fished around for the catch itself with the bonnet adjar and simply pull it to disengage it. It is not heavily loaded.

I'll give that a go although the plastic was a very hard pull when it was there. [:(!] (I'm still not convinced it's come off but I can't find out until I've got inside.) It's stuffing it down outside now so that's going to be fun. [:(]
