xantia alarm

My xantia remote unit has not worked for ages. I have just reconnected the battery and the alarm goes off every time I open the door.I have to use the key manually. Is there anyway to solve this until I have enough money to get the problem fixed?.

DONE IT, thanks to a previous post answer. For ages I have been pressing that button with the lookalike megaphone and the lines (the alarm disable one ) thinking it was something to do with the radio DO'H.
