406 coupe dies!

Hi Guys
My 2 litre has now gone from havin a lumpy idle to none at all!
Got in it tonoght and after startin it just loses the revs like a stone, maybe hovers for a split second around 200 revs then dies!
Help!!

sounds like it could be an idle speed control valve problem. A lot of renault lagunas and fords have a similar problem. Sometimes cleaning it out with carb cleaner solves the problem.

how do i get to it and where is it and how easy is it???

I'm not too familiar with the layout on the 406, but the iscv is usually an alloy casting with a plug on it that is bolted on to the air intake system somewhere, and its normally dead easy to take off and either clean or change
