I tested a 7 years old 2.0l 8v xantia wagon with auto gear which I intend to buy. Under hard acceleration, a vibration can be felt in the cabin; not the running-over-cow-grid type, but a significant virbration nonetheless. Under the normal driving with normal acceleration, there is no vibration. Is that a sign of the gear box starting to have problem? I don't think its gear oil have been changed since new.
