Windshield smearing and Clearalex

Post by czenda »

Hi, what is the Clearalex thing I saw recommended for prevention of windshield smearing? Is it a washing powder (like Ariel, Omo etc.) or is it a softener (like Quanto, Silan etc.)? My bet is on the softener - and you will get the heavenly freshness (or any other exciting experience mentioned in the commercials)as an added value...[:D]

Is it a chemical used to soften a hard water (i.e. to eliminate the efect of minerals diluted)? Then Calgonite would be the worldwide known brand...

if you want to clear a smeared windscreen, buy yourslef some Holts Mixtra (or renamed Screenies, but not wipes) if you phone Holts' up at Stockport, they will tell you the nearest stockest to you.
It cleans anything off you windscreen, I have used it for over 10 years now, cracking for clearing diesel of glass too
