That's never a problem Zel, the FCF loves off-topic and arguably around 99% of my stuff is equally off-topic!

I love it because posts so frequently wander off into some very interesting territory :)

I have noticed that some threads wander so far off topic that when they eventually wander back on they have stickers from around the world. I have seen one with "Welcome to Rio", "Love LA", "Aloha from Hawaii", "Enjoying Tokyo Nights", "Mmm, Mumbai", "Cheers from Cairo", "Roaming in Rome", Welcome to gay Paris", and "Love from London". The Internet charged the data packets freight charges!

For my Seat Leon basically being a mk5 golf and the stories I hear about golfs being uncomfortable I am amazed how comfortable the Leon is. And with the seat set for me, and I am nearly 6feet I could sit behind myself which is unusal. Perhaps because the design came through France between Germany and Spain improved it vastly!

So long as I don't get as big a customs bill as I did for the last package I had from the States!

Near a hundred quid that cost me...Plus the eight quid "handling fee" Royal Mail charge for the pleasure of giving them my money. Wouldn't mind if it had been stuff I could have bought locally!

Well, I've sent an email to the support system at Photobucket. Will see if I get anything useful back from them. If they actually fix things promptly I'll possibly give them the benefit of the doubt...

Okay, question of the day...What thread is this? Thought it was M12 based on judgements originally made with Mk I Eyeball, but it's not as an M12 cap nut won't screw on.

Photos show measurements taken just now. Actual thread spacing looks to be 1.84mm between the peak of the threads - or 0.073" - could that be actually 0.075" I wonder...

I've got a suitable banjo fitting and washer, but I need a cap/dome nut to go on the end...but before I can get one I need to figure out what size it is.

Thought I had one in the parts box, but it's standard M12 so won't fit!

Being a Banjo Zel, it could be something like BSP - British Standard Pipe or BSW - Whitworth!

More likely though it's a UNC thread...

Wish my thread gauge hadn't gone walkabout...

Reckon this may be another case of "go wave it at Pirtek" unless anyone has better ideas...Just annoying to find a larger project held up by something so small...

I might well drop by then! Will drop you a PM in the morning. Sadly won't be able to stick around too long, but should be able to drop past at least. At least work out for certain what I need to get ordered/pick up to get this thing connected.

Probably do my sanity the world of good to get out the house by myself for half an hour to be honest!

Means I can get that turntable dropped off at least too!

The closest common thread seems to be 1/2" UNC (13 TPI).

Many thanks to Jim this afternoon.

With a set of thread gauges, micrometer and the wonders of the internet he quickly identified the thread on the outlet of this fuel pump to be M12 X 1.5mm.

Looks to be a pretty simple matter to pick up what I need now! Certainly not something I have rattling around in a parts box here sadly though.
