Oh gosh Husky :( So sorry to hear this and sad you'll be moving the car on... I'm really puzzled as to why it's eaten so many master cylinders :?

I've had a very rough night's sleep to be honest, my mind going over time , pictures of the fluid circuit in my head , every bend of the pipe work wondering if there two sharp causing restricted flow then back pressure to the part itself , possible thrust bearing to tight on the gear box shaft and so on and so on , it's time now to get another car . It's a real pity one part renders the car useless 😕 Saturday just gone it did make a snap noise from the pedal area soon as I heard that I knew then it was just a matter of time for it to give up again. I've been looking online at some cars c5, 207sw 307sw, even the older xsara picasso 2.0L hdi, no dpf . The c3 is way to good to scrap its had so much done ( renewed) if someone wanted a shed load of parts it's here . Shame as i was rather fond of it.

I really feel your pain here Husky  I love my Picasso and can't ever think of what might replace it so I'm holding on to mine.

They're not known for wantonly killing master cylinders so maybe think about getting another given you're fond of them. That's what I'd be minded to do.

Lightning and all that ;) It's said it never strikes twice...

Was thinking about another id know what to look for when looking around it, plus this one of mine could be a great donor for it if I went that route.

It does Husky and so far it's been good. The C3 Picasso does not seem to be plagued by the same AdBlue issues as the C4 Picasso.

Filling the AdBlue tank involves the removal of the spare wheel. It's a pain but against that, in my experience it does not need filling very often.

Mine, being a late Series 2, has the DRLs and a slightly updated dash...

That's a superb picture Husky

May the car you're going to look at be a good one [-o< Is it a late C3 Picasso?

If you do get it, the first thing to do is drop a bottle of Wynns Crystal Clear into the AdBlue tank ;)

Our Cactus has the Adblue filler in the boot. To put some in I first pour it from the 10 litre container into an Evian bottle (others will do) and from there into the tank. A funnel is used to avoid spills. I have also started to add the Wynns Crystal clear, put in before the Adblue but it does seem to cause a bit of foam in the tank when filling.
