You won't receive it. You have to go into the PMs (personal messages) and click on the message from me to open it up. Inside the message at the bottom is the link.

You must have at least glanced at the PM because it's in my 'Sent messages' folder rather than the 'Outbox'. The 'Outbox' is where messages go as soon as I send them. When the recipient opens his PMs the message moves to 'Sent messages' so I know they have received it.

Hello everyone,

I am looking for some help with an RT6 (RNEG2 CEM00) unit from a 2014 Citroën C5.

The unit powers up, the button backlighting works, the cooling fan runs continuously, and the CD mechanism attempts to initialize every 10-15 seconds. However, the screen remains completely black and the Citroën logo never appears.

I have already backed up the original 8 GB microSD card using Win32DiskImager and tested a cloned card, but there was no change in behavior. The same symptoms occur even with the microSD card removed.

As far as I know, the unit has never received a firmware update since the car left the factory.

Could someone please provide the correct firmware (preferably a recovery version) or suggest the best recovery procedure?

If you've had the RT6 unit out did you notice whether there was a sticker showing the version of firmware fitted?

Unfortunately, the installed software version is not specified on the device.

I will send you links for 2.77, 2.80, 2.85 and 2.86. Start at the lowest and work your way up. Hopefully you will find a version that works. Unfortunately I can't check my 2013 C5 X7 to see what's fitted there as I had new unit fitted under warranty in 2016.

Of course if your SD card is on its way out, none of that will work. Even worse, if the electronics of the unit are ailing that will also cause problems.
