I've uploaded the 2008 sales brochure to here ---> https://we.tl/t-fzm5HB9Svc
It's useful to read through to see what some of the things you've got on your car are meant to do. Also useful for seeing what options were available.

Peter you would have driven past my back garden on your way to the Ferry :)
Hope it is something simple like fluid levels but the offer is there if you need it, weekends are best for me as i work in Southampton during the week

Just downloaded the manual, does seem a pretty good one and its free :)

I was away caravanning a couple of weeks ago. On one of my rides out, I parked my C5 on a grass verge alongside the road with the rear wheel in a deep water-filled pothole so the car was sitting at an angle. When I finally went back to it and switched on my service light was on with a warning to check the oil level. I knew the oil level was ok so I ignored it. However, the service light stayed on for the entire journey back to my site. Not until next day did it reset - presumably after the bsi had been to sleep.

I checked the oil on mine - it actually has a dipstick the Merc didn't! I checked the water too that was also OK, in fact it didn't feel as though the cap had been off in a long tome which is a good sign. Still have the rest to do, so will try them and as you say give the electronics a chance to reset.

Had a warning 'DPF fluid low' today. Can you tell me where the tank is and what fluid it uses.

Thanks

Nearside rear in front of the wheel - its a bag under the cover. Depends on the colour of the connector as to whether its EOLYS DPX 142 or not

Hopefully not Chris. Been there with my regen issue, like all things, it's easy when you know whats going on. When you move forward 10 years in car tech, it takes a while to get it round the 'old swede'.

Thanks. That's where it was on the Mk 1 I think. Oh yes the fun's started. The more I drive it the more I like it though.
