Recieved my subframe today, has been cleaned up and wrapped by the seller, almost as good as new. £48 delivered! RESULT!

Got my subframe and nice n clean now ready for a coat of paint, I'd love to do it a stupid colour but maybe not! Hopefully have it under the car by the back end of next week

your ebay guy sorted me out a set of bolts and he chucked in a bunch of extra bolts and bits and pieces i might need top man
I also replaced the maf and the drop links and fitted a nice kenwood stereo to the citroen picasso 2.0 hdi and its running fantastic,
the mechanic also needs a front ns wishbone which i've ordered today so should be all good in about a week.

Great thread, makes me want to inspect my subframe now, I've noticed a little surface rust on it while I've been messing around with driveshafts and wishbones. Might be time to give it a wire brush and paint.
Do any of the cars mentioned here have a 3 point seatbelt on the middle rear (middle middle) passenger seat? Mine only has a lap belt and I'd like to either adapt it or get a later seat, if it would fit.

I've only seen lap belts on the middle rears and the 807/C8 seats don't fit.

not surprisngly, the new one was a lot heavier than the old. No idea who passed this car at last years MOT, but they are seriously dodgy!

the second subframe didn't fit either and was flimsy and crappy the first wrong subframe was really good nick and strong, hes helping out by cutting the bracket from old subframe and welding it to the new one and drilling out the holes , there are big and small holes in different places and I have the second subframe which i need to return for refund should be back on the road next week.

That is a serious amount of grief you've had with this not sure I would have had the stomach for it.

I know mate, life does this sometimes, it'll be all good in the end, and i have that citroen picasso now, which has served me well, also
the second subframe i got was lousy cheap and flimsy the first one was solid and heavy they've offered me a refund. so result really next week i will have the car back with the good subframe modified to fit, fingers crossed.

She's alive guys 12 months mot result so good to drive her again. Mechanic took pity on me and only charged me only £200 for ten hours of labour top man £110 to fabricator £50 for mot and £30 pound for some sundries, i paid £55 for the subframe (110 they refunded 50%) £12 for bolts and £30 for a wishbone. Happy days Thanks for all your support and information much appreciated.
