I would really love an Alfa 159 myself but where I work the vehicles get covered in metallic fallout etc and im not willing to take one there . Yes the Fk1000p is an alternative to wax with better longevity , they do sample tins to try for £4:00 , even a small sample will last a while as you don't need to apply much at all

There's a few jobs earmarked for the Zx this week in preparation for Wetherby next weekend , the leather is going to be cleaned & conditioned , a light tidy under the bonnet , give the wheel arches a thorough clean & dress them and finally get some wax on her , not sure which one either some finishkare pink wax or dodo juice rainforest rub . The interior just requires a wipe over with some Autoglym vinyl & rubber care and that's it . Feel free to come and have a look over her at Wetherby these are getting very rare now and if How many left are to be believed there are only 22 taxed examples on the road in the Uk .

Nearly as rare as S2 V6 XMs then Mark... Funny that some car people consider thousands left as making them a rarity. A few weeks ago I was nattering to a 300ZX owner who declared there were only 3,000 left and thus they were very rare. Thats possibly more than the total production run of the 16v ZX world-wide!!!

Shame I've got to miss Wetherby this year as I'd have loved to said hello and seen your car in the metal. That's the weekend Robyn comes home from Uni for the summer and I have to go to Aberystwyth to fetch her and her belongings...

Then it's off to Somerset next day.

Im away all week and so wont have much cleaning time, the cars we turn up in will probably have a few weeks worth of muck attached. I hope to get a bit of time to clean a couple on Firday evening, if not, I wouldn't look at them too closely

If you stand at the opposite side of the racecourse it just about passes as an XM. It doesnt look too bad in the middle of night either, but tomorrow, in the sun, up close, it aint pretty! Im sure with a good dose of machine polishing it would look much better, then there would just be the parking mishaps to contend with.

Im tempted to take some detailer tomorrow, give it a bit of a clean and attempt a hand polish on some of the panels, just to see if there is any life in its paint.

There's a few jobs coming up on the Zx in the next few weeks , first up a stainless steel exhaust from a specialist in Sheffield , I'll be calling in for them to assess the job this week . After that it's a new windscreen to be fitted for the Mot in September . I'll get some pics up of the exhaust when fitted , other than that everything is fine on the old girl , plus I've seen something else with a 16v motor in which has caught my eye , wether it will come my way is a different matter but I can keep my fingers crossed for what it's worth , can anyone guess what it might be ????

Your 16v was looking excellent at the Wetherby event Mark, it was very good to finally meet you! I do really like the interior in your ZX, quite different from the feel of a normal version.

Hmm, something else with a 16v engine ... Is it of the same power?

5 bhp more , it really is a long shot as someone else has got first refusal on it so I'll have to wait and see , I'm sure you know what it is Chris ?

A Bx16v that's been garaged for 14yr with a snapped timing belt , only problem is someone else has first refusal/look , very cheap at £200 . I'll keep you posted Chris

That Silver PH1 car Mark? Shame it's a 1 IMO - the 2s look better I must say... However beggars can't be choosers!

Good luck with it if you get it Mark as the Valver's are rare beasts - one has recently made it's way here, it's good to have one back. Must say I prefer the Sport though...
