I saw that one at Chevrons. In the metal it looks much nicer than it does in the picture. It's in fabulous condition

Don't know whether it was the last picture you took on the Sunday Jim but as of now your photograph of the Ami from the Chevrons rally is the last picture on your Filckr Album for the Sunday.

What were the chances of me picking that one out of Steph's video for a mention, and the significant positioning of your photo within the gallery! As it turned out 100%. Or of course have you just loaded it up to your Flickr gallery following my post!

Maybe the consensus of commenters on such things as are the subject of this thread, is that grey is a fairly unloved colour for cars, but remains popular amongst the buying public including younger members of the Scottish wing of the Falcon clan. Very happy with it as it turns out

Yes plenty of grey naysayers on the FCF, and maybe even more Audi naysayers. Let's find some Grey yes sayers and find some cars which look good in grey. I do think the flavour of the month black badging does suit the grey background.

As a grey no sayer I have to say that the black badged, grey Audi is a triple yuk for me at first glance. Further inspection generated another yuk on seeing the out of character red calipers. That makes it four and hence the new car breed to add to my hitlist - the Quad Yuk!!

Time to give grey a chance, its popular enough amongst the car buying public. If it finds deaf ears and blind eyes in the FCF viewing audience so be it. Plenty of that former favourite on the forum the Citroen Xantia were sold in Silex Grey, there may be some who may even find some nostalgia for it

Nothing against grey cars. Had a couple of them.
Prefer them to many brightly coloured cars.

I think I may have overcooked the reality!! I don't mind what I will now call 'proper' grey cars in various metallic shades of gunmetal and similar. It's the relatively new light grey, matt finished cars that look like they have been left in primer that I don't like. Just to clarify (Of course the colour doesn't affect my opinion of Audis which is based on over hard ride and faulty indicators!)

One of the family cars I had a little bit of affection for in Grey..., although it had a bit of a habit of running into ditches and walls!

I agree about the 'primer' grey Mick Some shades of grey are tolerable - such as my Picasso's slightly bronzy grey
