It's had quite an airing on another forum I read... Good value allegedly and a well-known one under a different name and considerably more expensive from other sources..

Very poor/basic specs, also Amazon will produce a better price.

Was in LIDL yesterday - a selection of tools and bits and pieces in amongst all the Christmas tat! Including snow chains at a tenner a set - might get some of those...

Of all the years I've been driving and with all the cars I've had with heated seats, I've never used them and never, ever felt the need...

The most I've ever done with them is checked they worked on very intermittent occasions...

Pleased you have found ionic bliss with yours Simon :)

My Dad was toying with the idea of buying a body warmer with heat pads over the kidneys - theory is that the heat goes straight into the kidneys, and then since there is a lot of blood flow through the area, heats up your blood and keeps your whole body warm. Apparently you can sit in a cold room with the jacket on and feel warm; including your extremities - even though the heat pads are relatively low power input.

That's interesting Richard... May be worth a try with my cold hand problems - I was given a pile of heat pads yesterday too...

You are obviously not like me Jim, anything below 25c and I'm cold, obviously all that exercise that you do.

Maybe Peter but this year I'm coping with the cold a lot better than I have in the past :) The Reynauld's hasn't been so bad either...

I won't say I love the cold but like rain, I'm not letting it stand in the way of doing what I want to do...

The secret to being comfy in the cold is a good woolly hat and a merino wool neck warmer ;)

Mind you, the black ice on the pavements around here scuppered a good run early this morning :( I had to resort to a long session on the static bike in the conservatory...

Off swimming in a bit...

Good on you Jim, I go out with about six layers on and I'm still cold, unless I'm doing something energetic.

I managed to get my Mum two pairs of gloves that have heating elements all the way down to the finger tips. One pair has batteries with them, and she has been TOLD that, should the weather get to the point where her hands are hurting, she is to open that package and use them!
