Sorry Marc but I don’t know how to link to a specific post. It was yours from yesterday at 15:31 entitled Brake PipingGiveMeABreak wrote: 28 Mar 2023, 16:11 Roger, as Mystic Meg is on holiday, can you please tell me which diagram you are referring to in the thread linked above as I have provided quite a few and I have already provided Header names for each of them? Better still, locate the relevant post in that thread and quote the post where I have provided the diagram, so I know which number (8).

Hi Roger, just a little clue. To link any given post into your post simply go to the post in question, put your cursor onto the bold type heading of the post and right click, then select 'copy link address'. Now go to the post you are writing, place the cursor where you want the link to appear, right click and select 'paste'. The link will then appear.

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

In which case the answer is in the post already under the diagram.

Re: Hydraulic Leak 2.0HDi Xantia - STUPID QUESTION
I've moved all these posts out of the Official Parts thread to this thread as it's getting messy and the parts thread is strictly moderated. Please keep all further related posts here thanks. It may be as a result that some posts are out of synch - but essentially to answer Roger's last question in relation to number part (8):
I have stated under the relevant diagrams already provided in this thread which items are available.

Sorry Marc. I appreciate that part 8 isn’t available but I would like to know what length it is please? I cannot see that for the brake pipe.GiveMeABreak wrote: 28 Mar 2023, 21:17 I've moved all these posts out of the Official Parts thread to this thread as it's getting messy and the parts thread is strictly moderated. It was only the suspension where you uploaded the part numbers matrices.
I thought I had double/tripled checked and cannot see it nor the part numbers for part 8. It might be available NOS somewhere you see. That’s my train of thought.
Thanks again

No worries - didn't include the length Roger, which is:
(8) part: 96106389, DIAM 3,5 L=2323 (no longer available).

Either Chevronics, or getting Pleiades or Euro Car Care to make the pipe for you out of cuni pipe and stainless ends at 36p per centimetre could be a better bet than borrowing my flaring tool, buying the pipe, ends and seals, flaring it and fitting it? Then again, you'd get most of your money back on my flaring tool so it's not really lost money, just deferred. But the offer stands if you want a loan of it, or if you want to buy a turnkey solution, https://www.eurocarcare.net/lhm-hydraul ... -made.html

Re: Hydraulic Leak 2.0HDi Xantia - STUPID QUESTION
Euro car care are brilliant. They are the people that had some pattern strut tops in. I think it was last year. They could have ripped me off easily. I found them to be honest and incredible. May well have done a post on here about it.Jay-Bruce wrote: 28 Mar 2023, 22:35 Either Chevronics, or getting Pleiades or Euro Car Care to make the pipe for you out of cuni pipe and stainless ends at 36p per centimetre could be a better bet than borrowing my flaring tool, buying the pipe, ends and seals, flaring it and fitting it? However, £36/metre ain’t cheap. It’s the right money for the work involved maybe but it ain’t cheap. I’ll give them a call today and maybe see if they have cunifer in stock for sale as I am increasingly thinking your tool is the best and cheapest option for me at present.
Also, the rear offside brake pipe according to the parts fiche is 2323mm!!!! which is wider than the car. Can’t say I paid forensic detail to the pipe layout yesterday but I was pretty sure it comes back to a K connector….
The car is now 15 miles away at a mate’s garage with a domestic waist high ramp setup. I’ll ask my mate to send me a photo. I should have taken one yesterday when it was having its MOT.
I’ll have a cuppa, do some more research and PM you my number, Jay.
Do you have a 4” x 6” label printer by any chance? If you want I can book the label through our business and send you the PDF with tracking. I can book any Royal Mail fully tracked service. Tracked 48 or Tracked 24 are £3.35 or £4.45 respectively which includes £100 insurance. Label visibly has the tracking number on and you can verify that by typing it in before you stick the label on and post (assuming you are happy to do that and I choose to go the tool loan way which I think is highly likely now with my doubts about me not paying more attention to the pipe layout yesterday and also may well end up doing the 5 pipes across the bulkhead too - as when I did the clutch I was too lazy and careless to mop up the spilled brake fluid which has destroyed the coating on those pipes!)
Apologies for the long post!

Jay. Have just given some brief thought to the pipe. I estimate there is probably 300-400mm of pipe to right of coil.
By simple calculation, those coils contain about 1100mm of pipe if 50mm diameter!!! OUCH!

Something for the weekend, Sir!
For your delectation, guys.
The bracket which holds it to the rear seat downstand has peened cap heads. Cannot be bother to do them tonight. Just want to get the pipe on.
