he says its a newer year model subframe
the scrapper has contacted the garage and say's he's got another car coming next week and will send on the frame.
i bought it with a credit card anyway so visa can sort out the money but in the meantime a guy at work was selling a beat up citroen picasso
it in good nick mechanically i'll get that for now and sort out the car situation probably get a grand voyager on finance or toyota previa d4d
don't really want to sink another grand

Don't get a Grand Voyager! They're a death trap - don't believe me? Check all the euro NCAP safety tests on them! You'd (seriously!) be safer in a Saxo with rusty sills!

I know know they are pretty crap should be ok for a run around I'll check the safety issues. its the lesser of a number of evils until I can get my caravelle

saw the ncap was pretty poor for both cars to be fair. looking at something like the 2008 (08) - Fiat Scudo LWB 9 SEATER MINIBUS 5-Door any opinions i need a bigger 7+ seater in which i can put all the camping stuff ?

The one near me in Leeds is still there, not been to see em yet, didn't like dealing with them last time, but it's a 1.9 so probably no good for you. There's also one on ebay, but it's in Cardiff and seller doesn't want to post.

I don't think it will, it's a 1.9td. The seller of this one is looking into the cost of sending it on a pallet for me

I don't know if this will help, but I was in at my local scrappy this afternoon, and they had 2 Citroen Dispatch vans, and a Peugeot Partner van. They are of the same basic shape as the Synergie.

One Dispatch was 02 reg, 2.0l HDi, the other was 04 reg 1.9D, but I don't know about the Partner. I could see the sub frame on the HDi, and it looked OK, but I am NOT a mechanic, so I don't really know what I should have been looking for.

Looks like the man in Cardiff has come good, he's shipping the subframe to me for a VERY reasonable cost

They're still available from Citroen, but they're a bit dear! They all appear to M12 x 1.75, some 35mm long and some 90mm - any high tensile bolts of the right thread / length will do

or visit local scrapyards and remove some from expert vans etc.
