Mine does exactly the same Sticky. It's got a brand new, genuine thermostat in it that I fitted during the conversion as well.

Here's where mine was sitting after around 200 miles on the way back from the Northern.

I was a bit worried about it before and started a thread about it last year when I was assured it was normal as well.

SNAP ! ...100%

I have also just found a French invoice/payment for a new water pump, two pipes, anti-freeze and a thermostat put on in Nov 2013 by a local Citroen specialist.....so that's good :)

?? how did you afford half a tank ? and why does the search function work so badly :)

Even the dervs can be uneconomical if you mess with them.

I filled mine after messing with the fuelling and it soon drank it

From home to Scotch Corner on the way to the Northern was a distance of 179 miles 130 of which are motorway (M8, M74, M6), by the time I joined the average camera on the A1 just south of Scotch Corner I was nearing 1/4 tank left.

Penrith to Scotch Corner was where I used most of it as there was a guy in a Mercedes that got a bit of a shock when he went for the overtake on a corner.

Jim, you were (as always) correct about the cabin filter.....and the thought of using the V6 one as a temporary filter is out as well :)

Some details for reference

Heater control Lamp holders/Sub-Unit vrs Dash Lamp holder....note it is the mount and NOT the bulb which differs. WRONG...see below
The bulbs are soldered into the mount and then applied....I see no reason not to just bridge the earth/power strips with your LED of choice here.

Sticky, you'll also find the bulbs themselves have to be shorter to fit... Normal dash bulbs won't work

Why the heater uses very slightly different bulbs is one of those mysteries that will be forever unresolved...

£3.54 bulb (ventilation panel / illumination) (611260)

I believe as Citrojim that it's a shorter bulb to allow in-situ fitment rather than removing the units control cables :?:

MIGHT NOT be necessary if the unit is already removed for fitting :?:

Yes it is as the longer (instrument) blubs will foul the mechanism..

If you needs some I can bring some along on Wednesday. I have some here...
