So some good news I think!
The 2nd hand strut works well, smooth and silent! Up and down with no issues!

That's good, at least Diagbox pointed us in the right direction, and it started working without needing to clear the codes!

Evening,
So it looks like the 2nd hand strut has thrown on the towel. It had starting to sound creaky for a month or so now. Today I haven't been able to open the tailgate automatically
Rather than go down the road of trying to sort it, would a pair of manual gas struts work?
