I do have a cunning plan which I may try once the house move is past, will not cost a penny, I have the required stuff, and it is reversible if it don't work. I put silvatech's in the rear also, I did just see the orange through the lens. Needs a wash tomorrow then pics I think. Your bottom photo really shows how good your exhaust looks, what's the diameter of the pipes? Do they fill the gap fully, with no problems? did you have to modify the bumper? I really love it
The bit of the rear light on the facelift that is clear, looks pink on our cars, which was fine until I saw Franklin's! I can't wait to see what your cunning plan is now! Yes pics please!
I think the pipes were 3 inch. The only problem I had to start with was that the original rubber hanger has an oval rather than round hole, so the whole exhaust gradually moved over to touch the black plastic trim slightly. I took it back & they welded another bit onto the exhaust bracket, so it couldn't move over. The 2 round outlets fill the standard cutout absolutely perfectly, it could be factory fitted!

As it has been a lovely weekend, I finally used my DA polisher. I didn't attempt any correction, just a polish up for the first try out, but it worked well & I'm very pleased with the result. For those interested I used the following:
Iron X
Meguiars Clay Bar with Meguiars Ultimate Detailer
DAS6 with Hex logic black pad
Auto Finesse Triple
Auto Finesse Tough Coat

Pics...

Photos not great as the sun was going from the front garden at that point.
I also got the worst of the winters grime off of my wife's Clio Mk1. Came up quite well (not that she cares!)

Hopefully now I've had a go with the machine polisher, I have the confidence to remove some of the swirls & scratches, but that will have to wait until summer. Having said that I'm pleased with how it looks now & would feel happier seeing it next to Franklin's!

They really do look good when cleaned up. Mine is a bit neglected just now, needs a really good clean inside and out. Its been used mainly as a van for too long!!!!!! All junk now moved or dumped from old house now, it's getting new roof on Tuesday should be a good reason to clean it. It's not a false alarm for roof this time, it is physically in the depot where it's being fitted. Cant wait! Even the old clio looks ok, must have had fun with the polisher. have to practise on scratches and swirls on the clio first lol

That is looking very nice indeed! =D> 8-)

Up close there are quite a few swirls on my C4, most probably due to the previous owner being a fan of automatic car washes!

On the way home today, a big bang & a chip appeared on the windscreen by the tax disc. It rapidly spread into a large crack. £75 thank you very much!

I wasn't even directly behind anything, I spose it must have come from a car next to me on motorway!

Gosh, these C4s don't half like keeping the glass fitters busy don't they?....

Really sorry to hear about that Fake. Motorway for sure. I've had two big stone hits on my Activa windscreen now and both have left chips but luckily not in the line of sight. Both of those were on motorways...

It's a bit annoying getting the windscreen broken. If it's confined to that corner I would be tempted to wait until just before mot time. I did that on the last car, ran with it cracked for 3 months. It's funny how a windscreen and roof are the same price      :-D :-D

New screen fitted today.
Image
The chap knew what he was doing, also replaced the side strips with new ones, which is good as the old ones had been slightly damaged last time it had a screen. Whether that was worth £75 or not...
Image
Now a question for someone with a C4. Should the rubber "flap" on the scuttle plastic trim sit over the edge of the wing, like this...
Image
Or under it, like this....
Image
I think it should be under so the water drains over it, but I could be wrong. Perhaps Franklin could have a look at his as it's almost brand new!
By the way thanks for the commiserations, even though it has only been a bit of an annoyance really & could have done without paying out £75 now as house insurance is up this month! Also, I have to get new wiper blades now to go with new screen, another £30!

Yep no probs, I'll have a look!

Glad the new window install went smoothly too.

Just renewed my insurance yesterday, so know the feeling...!

Looking at the pictures higher up the page and your C4 really does look great, especially those exhausts too. Hmm, I am tempted, but I'm not sure if I can justify £350 for a Stainless System especially as it's only 3 year old too...

Thanks, I would be interested to know.
Yes, you'd think a screen replacement would always be a fairly easy operation, but have had all sorts of problems with various cars in the past.
Hope you got a good deal on the renewal. I'd agree that it's not worth £350 just for the looks of the exhaust & I would have been happy with the standard system if it didn't have a big hole in it! Anyway your car looks great as it is.
Don't know how I ended up posting twice on this, i think the internet died for a while so i clicked "resend" when really it had already posted, oh well!

I have been a bit fed up with thecar this weekend as I still haven't got to the bottom of the problem with the radiator fan not coming on. Also the parking sensors have stopped working & give me an error message Parking Assistance Faulty. Had this a few weeks ago, took out the control box & cleaned all the connections & it was fine again until now.
Then today gave the car a quick wash & noticed the O/S rear light is cracked. It doesn't show that much but I could see the water running down inside it. I have no idea how this happened, I haven't reversed into anything & it's quite high up for something to crash into without any other damage, so a bit of a mystery.
This evening took my mother in law home & on the way back had a good blast and a few Image
moments and suddenly I'm loving it again (never really stopped!)
