My missus is an accountant, she'll accept me spending a tenner on flowers, occasionally. Anything more than that.... oh, I do get in bother!

It might be worth calling into your local Lidls. Although they did not show up on their last car bits list, they had snow chains for sale (at £12, 40% less than last time they had them in stock). There are still some branches with the snow chains available, and with the dusting of snow recently I would not expect them to stay in the shops for much longer.

It's French week in Lidl's - but there's nothing of particular interest for us. :wink:

Lidl do an excellent range of cheese Jim. Or should we be saying fromage? ;-) A lot cheaper than most other places as well. :-)

This coming Sunday (19/02) Lidl are doing some car bits;

while for the chefs/cooks amongst us they are also doing kitchen products on 23/02, as are Aldi;

That socket set might be worth a look, although I suspect it'll merely triplicate/quadruplicate what I have.

The LED work lamp, though an excellent design (I have a couple of similar ones) is way over-priced. Also it's been in-store for some time, so might be reduced soon.

In a garage/workshop and with a (I made one) wet carpet nozzle, these are great, good value as well.
