It's happened on many cars of mine that have had alloys on.

Most recently it happened on a LandRover I went out to help change a wheel on yesterday!

Can't remember the last time I took a wheel off other than to change a flat tyre! If anything underneath needs looking at, it goes up on ramps. Brake pads can be seen through the rim, rear brakes were fully serviced with new cylinders last year (and only half worn after 110k!) so I've no real reason to.

Sadly, not for us running cars with steelies :( An Activa though, you can bleed the rear brakes without taking off the wheels :)

A C5 with Hungaro alloy wheels probably could have the back brakes bled without taking them off. I know I got a ratchet socket/wrench onto the bleed nipples. NOt sure about the fronts ones though.

This is an e-bay posting for a Hungaro wheel;

Is it to late to order an instruction manual for my 2007 c5 exclusive? I feel like I'm on the flight deck of Concorde. Its very over whelming without really knowing what its all about. Cheers Nigel. PS lovely ride though.

I doubt you'll be able to get one now Nigel - and trawling the web brings up a lot of spamming sites - very popular as people are always searching for manuals, so watch out for some of the dodgy looking ones. I've yet to find a downloadable one for anything older than the current X7, so far....... maybe you'll have better luck. Unfortunately the free owner manuals on Citroen's website only seem to include current models and I've checked - there is nothing for any C5s older than the X7.

My suggestion would be to call in at your local scrap yard. I was at one recently, and a couple of cars I looked in had hand books. As I already have mine I did not think to ask how much the manuals would cost.

Marc thank you for that I've just bought it. Well its worth the money to me time I trawl through God knows how many scrap yards in a rural area where they are 30 miles apart might as well spend the fuel money on a safe bet. Thanks again I may even see if I can get some copies done if the demand is there. Cheers Nigel.

Just hope the strikes don't hold it up.

at this point I have to say the C5 is a very different beast to the Xantia in terms of comfort
but maybe that's just in transition from an estate to a hatchback, it is as comfortable as my Dads
eight sphere VSX xantia to drive.
Took it on the A14 late last night averaged about 70-80 mph for about an hour enjoyed every moment of it
and didn't feel so tired for driving it as I did in the xantia.

I still struggle to use sixth gear though, fuel consumption isn't as bad as I thought it might be.
The gauge hasn't moved after a day of driving around 100 miles including collecting the car from Grantham
and driving home on the A1 to Kettering.

can't wait to see what sports mode does I seem to have it on the Navi menu but don't know enough to set it yet.
will just have to wait for my manual to arrive.

I did manage to turn off the instant on headlamps and wow they are really bright and the turning feature is really helpful to.
I think I may have just mastered the temperature settings but cannot for the life of me understand why I keep being
shown the cars side profile on the screen. it would appear that the tyre pressure valves are dead or non-existent
so something to sort out there perhaps even turn them off in the ecu.

I would like the car doors to lock once in the car but that has been disabled so another thing to sort out.

I love the lights under the doors that light the pavements as you open them what a brilliant idea.
and the lighted footwells mean I can install my foot guidance camera without having to install lighting.
but will have to figure out a way to keep the drivers side lit all the time at night to aid the camera.

does anyone know how to go backwards on the Navi menu please I keep selecting things and it is almost as though its waiting for me to make a decision if I go
into the wrong menu by mistake I don't seem to be able to go back again one stage at a time.

cheers.
