Thanks for getting back to me,
my vin is,
VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff],

Someone new has scanned the car and has gave me three codes,
P3057
P2200
U1000

Currently unsure what to do with the car do I bite the bullet and put it into a Peugeot dealer or an auto electrician?

Seen a few people have handed cars back to Peugeot under advice from citizens advice Scotland as the cars were under 3 years old and under warranty, they are saying the car is not fit for purpose with various faults,

Thanks again

Unfortunately that's a bit late for you to do now...

I don't have exact descriptors for the other faults but the U1000 is a data / comms fault and that can vary depending on the system.
Fault Code: P3057 00
Description of Fault: Particle filter: Estimated number of particles incorrect. Estimate of the number of particles accumulated incorrect.
Conditions for Fault to clear:
  • Driving for 5 minutes
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • Absence of automatic stopping of the internal combustion engine
  • Deactivation/cut-off of the cruise control or speed limiter
  • Activation of the cruise control or speed limiter function impossible
Symptoms:
  • Engine hesitating, cutting out
  • Banging/knocking/creaking
  • Crackling / Sputtering / Knocking
  • Starting problem
  • Lack of power
  • Malfunctioning of the engine when idling
  • Absence of automatic stopping of the internal combustion engine
  • Deactivation/cut-off of the cruise control or speed limiter
  • Activation of the cruise control or speed limiter function impossible
  • Fluid leak/smells (diesel fuel, oil, etc.)
Suspect Areas:
  • Diesel injector 1
  • Diesel injector 2
  • Diesel injector 3
  • Diesel injector 4
  • Fuel high pressure sensor
  • High pressure fuel pump
  • Fuel high pressure pipes
  • Electrical harnesses
  • Connectors
A Peugeot dealership diagnostic will be a minimum of £120, but may work out better in the long run rather than 'taking it here and there on wing and a prayer' as Peugeot will also have the expertise and the technical resources for troubleshooting.

Thanks for the ESP schematic Givem3abreak, looks like it will be very useful. Don't suppose you would happen to have the legend for the schematic you legend :-)

Remember, schematics are both vehicle, engine and option specific, so may may not be relevant to your own vehicle. In order to see if I have one relevant to your own vehicle, you'll have to provide a VIN.

BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure

The link to the main equipment codes is back in the post with the diagram (I've just updated it).

Morning all, would appreciate any help on this matter. My 2019 Citroen Berlingo (K9) is throwing up all sorts of warning lights and codes. The main code is C003A 11.
Rear right speed sensor, Short circuit to earth. However I have changed the abs and speed sensor. Replaced the short wiring loom to the sensor and calliper. And still has not been resolved. Only next this is to do the bearing itself but if that fails I’m not sure where to look next. Any experience on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What are the other codes since they may be relevant to have a look at ?

At the rear right there will be 2 sensors, the outer and the inner so have you checked both of these ? These 2 sensors might also have different part numbers so it could be important when replacing to get the correct one.

5/5/2026 edit - ignore the bit about 2 sensors, for some reason I was thinking about reversing sensors.

This is all the codes showing currently

C003A:01 - Rear Right Speed Sensor - Electrical Fault
C003A:11 - Rear Right Speed Sensor - Short Circuit to Earth
C003A:96 - Rear Right Speed Sensor - Internal Fault
U1213 - Communication fault between the electric power steering (dae) ecu and the abs/especu-Not characterised

And yes we checked both inner and outer sensors, same part no’s replaced and only thing left is the bearing itself which is being done this coming Thursday now.

There is also all the ESP/ABS/Hill start fault coming on the dash at start up too.

Thanks

Just realised, for some reason I was thinking about reversing sensors so my above post should be ignored. It may pay to check the wiring from the front of the car to the back and look for any damage.
