just finished the last fault which was that clock, trip computer, and radio screen slapped on the dash. It goes all haywire in the heat, I got one off aliexpress, which I'm pretty sure was used, and has a few differences I think out of a later model pug. it has a metal frame on the front, different part numbers, wiring plug at the other side and 90 degrees to the original, I was a bit sceptical but it bolted in the hole and it plugged straight in. Turn on the key and it works almost perfectly. I say almost because it has menus for blue tooth, parking assistance, and some other crap that the car doesn't have. Apart from that all good

I got a week of driving before the injector leak off hose seals sprung a leak and pissed fuel out everywhere, the cars behind me were not to happy. so I've got another mess to clean up. Order a hose kit but the intake and rocker cover has to be removed to fix it... I'm sure this will cause yet another leak, still waiting for the part to arrive.

Re: 307 HDI 2.0l non starter.
So the injector return hose arrived and it took a good 4 hours to remove the rocker cover and all the crap around it to replace the hose and reassemble. so far looks like it is fixed. It is very disappointing that the engine is designed to fail with plastic parts that go brittle after a few years. If the same fault was on the 406 it would take less than a minute to replace the same part.
If anyone wants to attempt the same repair, here is a video that was very helpful.

Bring back the 406 I say, probably the best car Peugeot ever made.
