I'll dig the lexia out and have a try with it, I wasn't sure it was that specific about the location of the fault but if it is then it will definitely be worth trying.
i've swapped all of the sensors out (one by one with a known good one) and checked them all too by moving a bin next to each one in turn and seeing if it is picked up correctly by the system each time. Each sensor showed the correct result on the screen before immediately being replaced by the fault message. With that, I ruled out the sensors and wiring. I've also swapped the module with one from a scrapyard and the behaviour didn't change, so I ruled that out too
The speaker is all I have left.

Re: Overactive parking sensors
Lexia will report a fault with the sensor and will usually tell you which one it's having the issue with.

Re: Overactive parking sensors
I've been trying to find the parking sensor buzzer / speaker on my Citroen C8 as I believe it is the reason my PDC is not working, however I can't find it. Some of the images in this thread have been helpful, and appear to show that on the 807 the speaker is on the driver's side d-pillar, however it certainly isn't on the C8. Is anyone able to share a similar diagram for the C8 so I can can try to find it? I had all of the trim from the driver's side from c to d pillars at the weekend, but had no joy.

Re: Overactive parking sensors
I should note that my Lexia no longer works (I should remove it from my profile), but having replaced all sensors and the module, the speaker is all that remains of the original system, and they are known to fail on other marques.

Re: Overactive parking sensors
The speaker for the parking assistance on your C8 is not in the front or side, it is in the rear right quarter quarter of the boot area, near to the rear light cluster.

Re: Overactive parking sensors
I took off the trim panel for the D and C pillars, and pulled forwards the main side panel, but couldn't find anything. A lot of the workshop diagrams show it to be a few cm above the module. but it's nowhere to be found
