C4 Picasso 2014 Exclusive - Air Con Fan Issue (new Shape)

I’ve ordered the part linked at the top of this page, arrives today will let you know if it solves the issue. Tried Citroen and was quoted £131.02 for the part so just went with the link above.

No, the air hearing resistance has nothing to do with the fan speed. Fan speed is controlled by the Blower Motor Control Module or a faulty control panel, but in most cases here it is the blower module that needs replacing.

Follow the link to the part above that is exactly what I bought online, the Denso one DRS21008. I just fitted it to our C4GP 2015 exclusive+ 1.6 Blue 120. 5 minute fit and all good fan steps as it should and most importantly goes off when it should.

I was concerned at first as the barcode number was different and instead of A430.029.00 on it there was A430.021.00. But as neither Denso, or the Citroen dealer could find any reference to either of these numbers relating to a part I figured it would be good to go and it was.

Update: blower resistor module swapped out. Fan control now back to normal.

This is a common fault on all 2014 upwards peugeot Citroen vehicles inc Picasso. Grand Picasso. 3008 5008. Best place to buy replacement is spareto.com

Avoid Chinese copies as they only last a few days. For pre 2014 C4 Picasso don't even fit an eBay Chinese copy as they cause issues with Bsi

Hi all, my pride and joy (2015 C4 Picasso Exclusive + 1600 adblue) has joined the “heater blower constantly on”. The fault developed on the day that the temperature reached 40c.

The symptoms are:

1. As soon as drivers door is opened the blower starts up.

2. Blower speed is adjustable but can not be switched off.

3. The blower remains on when the car is vacated and locked for a period of time.

Any assistance or indication as to the cause will be appreciated. Thanks

For those who may follow this post! It was the blower resistor (on my car it’s DRS21008) that cost about £45 from AUTODOC. Ordered and fitted in 5 working days
