Xantia V6 front discs/pads advice needed

On the 288 mm callipers, the outer wear sensor wire does go through the hole in the moving part of the calliper, and does need to be partly unthreaded in order to lift the calliper to change the pads, but as the wire is changed each time anyway, that is not much of a hardship. Only the outer sensor wire goes through the bleed nipple cover, then both wires go through a fibreglass sleeve on their way to the connector.
