Sus pumps. Diesel for petrol.

Just going back to my previous post on the BHI relay - there seems to be an error in that the electronic relay for the HP pump is item number 8 on the parts diagram. This is the latest diagram from service Citroen, however, as you can see, there is no '8' shown, so either it is an accidental omission, or it is contained in the main relay box on the other diagram, or lastly, it could be integrated into the Electronics on the BHI - but highly unlikely as it's not easily accessible!

I just had a look on CitroJims post "how activa suspension works" and apparently there is a diode attached to a valve in the pump to protect the ecu and I wonder if it is it causing the problems I am experiencing.

as you may recall I have no comm's with suspension ECU and I still haven't figured out what is wrong with my load assist switch in the boot I have checked as much as I know how to, including the 40 amp maxi fuse but I think there is a relay or something amiss because when the load assist died it sounded a bit like the funny nokia broken ring tone . I replaced the buzzer and switch to no avail. The reason I think it may be a relay is the manner in which it died like it lost a larger power supply,and possibly retained a low power comms line to fool the ecu to think it still works.
I wonder are relay functions listed in Sedré. actually I will have a look I have the old version .

As far as I can see, there is a 6 pin black plug to the luggage compartment suspension height selector. There are 3 wires, an earth and the 'raise' command (7706) and 'lower' command (7707). Both of these 2 wires go directly to the BSI. Apart from the selector switch in the luggage compartment, there is a buzzer unit (3 in the diagram) located below the switch (probably behind the trim somewhere). So no relay for this function. So as long as the suspension is working ok, maybe just the buzzer unit needs changing:

But that's for an Xantia Activa - a completely different system - no BHI and a completely different pump setup unless I'm mistaken...

No there is a section on Hydractive as on the C5 I think the pump works on the same principal, I have replaced the Buzzer with a new one but no joy. So I am at a loss, if I could access the suspension ECU I would be happy enough to leave the load assist I am afraid of something going wrong and not being able to scan it.

Maybe something failed in the BSI , it just seems to be too simple of a control system, thanks Marc by the way
