No problem, guarantee that was the problem, timing out valve hit piston and broke rocker like it should do but NOT when I had a hdi! Make sure she's all timed up correct in the cam timing holes. Well done.

Delighted you've found it Taffy.. I expect the rocker was initially weakened when the pump went and then lost the will to live on the restart...

Ah mate I felt a tear after all we been throu! She's purrin real sweet jus had an incodent with high pressure hose by The pump iv had to cut it short as The rubber had split but all good now...thinkin it might have been suckin air in hence my problem with constantly ticking...mot next new windscreen bottom ball joints and tyres and Ishes bk!
