well went to lidl and just couldn't bring myself to get the required 45 bottles to fill the car, so went to tesco and got 3 KCT's (£10.09 each) and 15 ltrs of diesel

total cost £44.74
compared to £63.05

now to start amassing a stock pile on a daily basis case at a time

Bought another 15 litres of rapeseed oil for 56p, corn oil is 49p so i would save about a pound per 15 litres, what is the main difference in usage between corn and rapeseed?

Corn oil ill turn solid at about -1'c and veggie will do it at about 3.5'c from what ive asked on the veggie forum. also you may lose a tiny bit of power with the corn oil but for the saving i doubt it would make much difference :)

Sorry for bringing up an old thread on my first post, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread.

Oil prices are often over £1/l in the supermarkets now, anyone got any tips on where to find some cheaper oil?

Welcome to the forums Maaaahtin.

Try and sweet talk the catering trades supplier in your locality, You might be able to get them to sell you it at trade price if you are going to be buying in reasonable quantities - say around 150-250L a month.

I fear the days of reasonably priced vegetable oil are long gone and prices are set to remain high for a long time to come :(

I've also just got mine from Bookers but on Thursay the KTC was £17.84 for 20l which worked out at about 89p per litre. I found their Happy Shopper 1 litre bottles were selling for £4.99 for a box of 6 (83ppl)

A proper extraction machine for shampooing carpets. I spent about 30 minutes doing my boot yesterday, had nearly a years worth of oil, grease and gunk and made the car have a distinctive smell to say the least. 3 goes with the machine and left to dry for an hour and its now near immaculate, its the only way to get it clean.

hi G, what detergant did you use? I guess a 'heavy soiled' type would be worth a go?

Thanks!
A friend needs to hire a carpet cleaner so I might "chip" in with the costs and use it for the boot :D
Was thinking otherwise hot detergant water in the bath and soaking over night.
Now, what's best to get the veg oil from the body and window around the filler cap?
