I dont play gt4 as I dont have a ps2 and never will as gt4 cant be played online, Forza Motorsport on the xbox is damm brilliant. There are a set of timetrials which must be done in a specific car with no setup changes allowed to ensure its all fair. On the ring one in a mclaren F1 I have the 60th best time in the world on xbox live :) Then in one of the class championships ive got an 8th quickest time for one race and a couple of 17th's :) Looking forward to going back to the ring next year

nah just a spare car. At the F1 part of the Nurburgring there is the Musuem. In there is a room with a few old rally cars and the best bit is a german DTM Audi TT rigged up on hydraulic rams and a massive plasma screen outside of it running gt4. That would do nicely thanks! They also had about 20 other normal screens with ps2's in also running gt4 including 4 single seater cars next to each other linked up.

I just had a go on GT4 and here is my result = 7:57 in a Audi RS6 (Avant) modified, with nitrous. I did have 1 or 2 scary moments - I lost it (tail happy) on a bend with very bad camber change, and when Faye insisted on handing me a cup of tea....(cant you see im busy, woman). What can you do. I will go back later tonight and, with a diffrent car aim for the 6 min mark [:D].

Oh dear. I managed a time of over 12 minutes in a Porsche Carrera GT last night. Methinks I'm not allowed enough practice time! That was on Forza which is a great game. Wonder if it is possible to unlock a 2cv like you can on Colin McRae rally...

Oh that was good - seeing a tranny van (of which I have driven many in my days as a scout leader) driven by a girl, lapping cars and motorbikes.
How that must have p'ed the biker off - I know it would have done me[}:)]

They need to go back with a Mercedes Sprinter. Judging by their ability to tailgate me (when in the livery of a certain courier company) on the dual carriageway, they must be MUCH faster than a Transit. They HAVE to go back and break the 10min barrier.

Hmmm
How about a Transit with the 2.7 V6 diesel lump ( if Ford make it? ) That would fly around the ring! lol

Would it stay upright though? Looked scary enough with a "feeble" 130bhp engine. A bit gutting that it couldn't quite beat Clarksons Jag lap. At least he got beaten by a bloke running earlier in the show! Yet more reasons to stay well away from cities. That bloke wouldn't beat me on my way home. I average over 40mph in a 2cv for the entire journey! It's bliss. Especially on a day like today with the roof back. Air con actually does a better job of keeping you cool but it just isn't the same. Sorry, guilty of topic drifting there...

Slightly Off Topic - the TVR they tested on flop gear was seen tonight broken down on the M55. I know its the same one 'cos I keep seeing it round Blackpool and I recognise the reg.
