Identical to youngest daughter's. Hers was a 900, not a 93, the only 900 I have seen like it.
Garage said it was all SAAB parts, not the GM stuff in the 93's

In some quarters this version is unloved because of its engine size whereas I always found them more exciting to rally. However I have long given up on ever owning another one for a reason which this one eliminates. Given that it may well not appeal to most for that very reason it may even turn out to be a cheap low mileage option to stir my conscience, we'll have to wait and see when the auction begins!! :-D

I always preferred the 1.6 over the 1.9 :) The very eagerly revvy nature of the engine made it much more fun :D

It's the lack of left leg involvement that rules out the black one for me :)

P.s. up to £7500 at present, what's the definition of "cheap" on 205 GTi again? :-D

Anything under £12k for a low mileage 1.9 would be on the cheap side!!

Here is a very rare option that would float my boat, although it may make it to the Big Brother thread:

That's quite lovely but as said, I think it'll move toward deep pocket territory ;)

Another one of these which is a different car from the previous one and judging solely by the photos this one is in much better condition:

What more could any self respecting FCF member want? It's blue, it's French and it's owned by Jody Schekter!! :-D

Or for the benefit of another GTi lover, I prefer this to the red as it makes the coachline stand out more: :-D

Had to look up who Jody Scheckter was.
Was thinking along the lines of Michelle Mouton.
Not quite.

As much as I love a blue 4CV, this is definitely the one for me... Ticks a huge number of boxes. I absolutely love that and I do like it in white... It's quite unusual to see a GTi in white and it really does work :-D

Were this not in Ireland, and hence involve considerable collection costs, I'd be very tempted to have a bid :-D
