Interesting as that instrument set has oil and coolant temperature gauges next to each other. UK models have the fuel and coolant temperature gauges next to each other with a gear position repeater in the traditional location of the oil temperature gauge on the opposite side.
That's a fair old speed he's knocking on at and judging by where the temperature gauges are the engine is working hard...
I'm thinking that might be a manual having covered that sort of mileage...

I've taken advantage of the nice weather today and given my V6 a bit of a check-over. The front brakes were a bit noisy and graunchy so I've stripped the calipers and cleaned them up. They were a bit corroded and sad after being unused for so long. A lot better now...
I also replaced the windscreen wipers as they were getting a bit worn and shuddering a bit in light rain...
Touch-wood she's all good for the winter now. Whilst I was in the mood I gave the XM a routine check and nothing to report
