Yes, it is really but sadly my job is not one that is very amenable to remote working...

Speaking to someone today it would appear one solution might be a quiet area where I can crash out at times of need and take on a bit of a recharge It comes under the guise of workplace adaptations and they must apparently do their best to accommodate such needs...

Good news with the cheaper insurance on the XM Jim I bet your V6 is pleased to be back in use, well, it might be until it sees the salty roads!

Im with Adrian Flux, they always find exactly what im after and at a good price too. They usually have a wobble at renewal time andincrease my premium by about £150-£200 but after a phone call its resolved.

Lol, firstly An S2 Xantia, secondly, the rev counter has suffered the "Flat Battery" Syndrome at some point, because, no thats not reving off the clock, its flipped round, thirdly that has to be a V6, nothing else Xantia goes that fast, and WOW look at those K's its done, 341,000 KMilometers!!!

He was probably trying to get theneedle right round to see if it would flip the revs back to normal..

Interesting as that instrument set has oil and coolant temperature gauges next to each other. UK models have the fuel and coolant temperature gauges next to each other with a gear position repeater in the traditional location of the oil temperature gauge on the opposite side.

That's a fair old speed he's knocking on at and judging by where the temperature gauges are the engine is working hard...

I'm thinking that might be a manual having covered that sort of mileage...

I've taken advantage of the nice weather today and given my V6 a bit of a check-over. The front brakes were a bit noisy and graunchy so I've stripped the calipers and cleaned them up. They were a bit corroded and sad after being unused for so long. A lot better now...

I also replaced the windscreen wipers as they were getting a bit worn and shuddering a bit in light rain...

Touch-wood she's all good for the winter now. Whilst I was in the mood I gave the XM a routine check and nothing to report

Impressive! Just a little over 141mph. Well, knowing how accurate a Xantia speed is, its probably more like 130ish.

Im also impressed with its mileage, a very nicely used Xantia

That does sound like a satisfactory compromise where remote working is not possible for various reasons. Lets hope it does work out well, I'm sure it will though as from what you've said so far they are quite flexible it seems. , then again good employee's are well worth the employer going the "extra mile" for in all cases, something I sort of wish mine had done although my specifics were different and looking back I do not now think it would of helped me. For you it certainly will from what I've read anyway.

Even today when I will confess to not doing much this morning I still found the afternoon crash was a mandatory requirement*. An hour has recharged me quite well - as evidenced by my posting on here and the other forum I frequent...

* Whether I want to or not I fall asleep anyway...
