I like the look of the digital torque adaptor as posted by PaulC5 looks a handy tool, now placed on watch in my ebay , however I decided to buy the proper shaped rear shocks last night as these monreo ones are thin tube type , as the ones that came off look like this
https://ebay.us/m/MfKzvd

I think i did say much further back the rear end used to do the classic knock when it ever went over uneven surface , so I quickly learnt how not to make it happen ,saw a pair of shocks on ebay purchased them and while waiting there arrival carried on driving and was able to not upset the rear end (the cars not mine) the car passed its mot like this too as when I got the car it had 6 weeks mot left as it was a garage forecourt disposal sale , the c3 picasso had over stepped my line and this car popped up on several car selling places on line and was a nice train trip to go collect, I paid £400 for the car , ive put 4 new tires on it , cambelt & waterproof kit , front breaks are fine but have purchased new discs and pads both sides , got these as a Xmas present from a family member as I couldn't (didn't ) think or or want anything , ive also got the rebuilt brake shoes too but the ones in it now are good for another 2 yrs, so spare new set to use when needed plus i purchased the full fixing kit for a tenner as a just in case its needed . Not to forget 2 services since May 2025. Pretty cheap little car id say.
Its sailed through ice and snow, the recent heavy rain storms, the person that owned it before part ex'd it for a Ford focus mk2 petrol.

Husky, it's time for you to invest in a decent electric rattle gun. Yellow and black ones I find are good. They make breaker bars practically obsolete for the most part.

Mine makes very light work of hub nuts once you've unstaked them...

I've never regretted getting hold of one ;) Ditto electric screwdriver...

If you look on this site Husky you will find the extensive range of black and yellow impact driivers which includes both Jim's and mine. Taking budget and likely torque needs into account you can find the one that suits you most. Mine is much more powerful than Jim's, as I needed massive torque at the time I bought it, but the downside of that is that it is very heavy to use.

To use with my gun I bought a set of US Pro impact sockets including 36mm and they all fit well.

This is my hub nut set https://amzn.eu/d/023pOXUc

Yes but I'd go for a decent margin above 300.

I've got the DCF 900 with battery and charger for £115 , no box seller confirmed it's fully working and is covered under ebay returns policy, maybe I could use it and send it back ..... no for that price it's worth keeping

The main benefit of the impact driver is getting them off rather than tightening. Refitting you can use the gun until its first impact and then return to a conventional torque wrench to set the final tightness, at least that's what I do!! :)

Plus the rusty old nuts and bolts will be far more easy with this tool, I do have one already but it won't touch hubnuts at all
