C1211 assistance does not start at a significant vehicle speed.

Vehicle speed 67 kph (= 41mph, was on a 40 mph road when I did the off and on test driving back from the fail to start in Chorley)

Am happy that's what this is telling me.

Cleared. No faults found.

Reading of parameters.

BSI immobiliser

This screen suggests that some of the values should change to "Yes" for ten seconds after a key button press I think. No change when pushing buttons on the key in the ignition. Will get the other key and try that soon.

Is happy two keys are programmed and two learned

This seems ok.

Particulate filter information
Particle emission filter load 074%
Distance travelled since last regeneration 386 km
Average distance travelled between two generations 411 km

Interestingly with engine off!
Catalytic converter downstream temperature 099°C!!
Low additive level reached no
Amount of additive in the additive tank 803.2 Ml
Total quantity of additive contained in the particulate filter 129 grammes

That all seems healthy, getting ready for a regen. I've not "felt" it regen itself yet, may do the LED in the mirror mod to give me confirmation of when that is going on.

Just went to confirm cranking speed via diagbox

And the bloody thing started!

Via the starter motor...

Did you get as far as using the second key in the ignition ?

Update with some data while engine running!
Engine speed 803 rpm
Air flow 0020 kg/h
Catalyst converter temperature still 99°C
Difference in pressure between particle emission filter input / output 004 mbars (idle speed)

At 2800 rpm increased to 35mbars

Idle speed,

Fuel circuit information
Engine speed 803 RPM
Measured fuel pressure 337 bars
Reference fuel pressure 337 bars
Fuel pressure regulation status regulation correct by two regulators
Fuel pressure regulator control OCR 20%
Fuel flow regulator voltage 2687 mVolts

Slow a fuel injected 11.77 mg per impulse
Cylinder injector 1 flow correction 0.03 mg per impulse
Other three cylinders identical figures
Fuel temperature 24 degrees C

Air intake circuit information

Engine speed 771 RPM (as it's warming up a bit)
Measured airflow 365mg per impulse, but is a fluctuating figure suggesting MAF is working ok? Goes up when revs increased.

EGR valve position reference value 78 percent
EGR valve position repeat 23%
Very interestingly the description states these two must be identical!?! They are both fluctuating a bit, and generally add up to 100% so wonder if description is wrong!

Whilst it's running have dropped suspension back down to normal.

So the multi-million pound questions are:
1) if I turn it off now will it go again?
2) Do I take the thing to work tomorrow?

The answer to question 1 is yes.

Am going to sleep on it before deciding on question 2's answer! :-D

Yes that's a good point.

The diagbox machine (and towing bar) definitely coming with me tomorrow!

Well that's good news! Hopefully it stays like that, though I do wonder why it didn't turn over to begin with
