Serious streamlining, and the added radome may help with the reduced visibility!

An interesting new take on screened audio cables
This is what I found when I chopped up a cheap eBay cable I'd been having some hum and noise problems with
It must be a new type of screening I've not seen before

I would check the description with a magnifying lens. Last time I found something like this the letters "un" were white on white!

at all the above three comments
At just over a quid each plus free P&P I suppose it was daft to expect quality stuff... The phono plugs are supposedly gold plated... If so it's a shocking waste of gold....

I have a reel of twin screened if you want some Jim, but you will have to fit your own plugs, can you remember how to do that?

I'll have you know that this very morning I've been making up Phono to 5-pin DIN leads
I was hoping to use the lead I showed above to save a couple of phono plugs and a yard or so of twin-screened but after seeing just how rubbish that lead was it went in the bin...
As I say, a terrible waste of gold

Some of the Renault automatics 18s I think, had screened spark plug leads, when the DIYers replaced them with ordinary leads it made the gearbox go mad, didn't know which gear to be in at any time.

I can well believe that. It's amazing how much energy plug leads radiate...
As an illustration, I once blew up an XM Automatic gearbox ECU after laying unscreened test/temporary diagnostic leads across the top of the engine between it and my ELIT...
That worked. I could read and clear the fault codes...
I then started the engine to look at live data... The ELIT survived but the diagnostic bits of the ECU were well and truly wrecked!!! Remarkably, bar that, the ECU still appeared to work...
Those temporary test leads would have been in close proximity and parallel to the rear bank plug leads...

That's just awful. For headphone use only - maybe.
How dare anyone attach an RCA plug to such a cable!

It is the typical cheap crap that comes with most stereos. Best chucked away unused.
