Re: I am an Activa owner...a V6 and I am an addict
I have not done a lower mount, but I would have thought that it would be easier to make a mandrel and spacers with a through-bolt to press it out in-situe? The outer steel ring on the bush is cut into segments, so it is only the force of the rubber holding it in.

Not as I read it Alasdair but I stand by my earlier statement...
Upon re-reading them Mike's words can be interpreted in different ways - or at least I did...
I'm not even sure the tangle of exhausts in the area would even allow you to do it. Even getting at the 'hockey sticks' to release the driveshaft intermediate bearing on a V6 is a bit of a mission compared to other Xantias... The bush and bracket is well hemmed in...
And remember the bush is in there bloody tightly, it isn't just going to fall out or come out easily... And nor will the new one go in easily...

A couple of points...
The item pictured on the previous page is the (NFP) upper mount, not the lower. The picture is of the underside, which threw me at first.
The lower mount sits below the driveshaft, and in front of the subframe so is fairly easy to access.

She's looking good Alasdair
Has Daffodil had any reoccurrences of her power losses?

Yes, but changed the spark plug leads today. As they are the last thing (except the coil pack) that needed changing I hope that has cured it.
